Another Police Shooting in Ferguson
On the one-year anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting, officers critically wounded another black man.
Shots rang out in Ferguson, Missouri, where residents and demonstrators gathered on Sunday night to mourn the death of Michael Brown. One year to the day of Brown’s fatal shooting, police shot and critically wounded another black man.
The St. Louis County Police Department confirmed that an officer shot a person after police came under fire. In a press conference, police chief Jon Belmar said that the victim had opened fire on an unmarked police vehicle. Plainclothes officers returned fire. As of this writing, the victim’s name has not been officially released. He is in critical condition.
