Pop-Up Pools for Cairo's Slums

A trick for keeping residents of sweaty cities cool.

Save your pennies, Egyptians! The city has set up a pool for children who live in the city's poor neighborhoods. The "porto dweigat um ahmed," as it's called, was set up by the government for families who can't afford to travel to beaches. The pool costs $.16 for three hours.
