Sir Pileous McPecwhiskers may have won the unofficial best costume at the 2013 Bay to Breakers – a century-old footrace in San Francisco featuring serious runners and dressed-up (or plain naked) freaks – but he had competition from a roller-disco granddad, human Sriracha bottles, a horse demon and a depressed narwhal. As with past years, it was a wonderfully sketchball throw-down, with drunken Whooooos! echoing through neighborhoods long after authorities cleared the roads with truck-mounted fire hoses.
