This Wind-Powered Bicycle Bell Is Always Making Noise

"Bellpipes" is a bike whistle that draws from bagpipes and wind tunnels.

At first, I was annoyed with the idea of bike bells that could be set to "always on." But the more I think about it, it could be stimulating, filling a city with a sound like wind whistling through a canyon or lots of fast-moving bagpipers.

That's because Bellpipes isn't your normal metal-hits-metal bell. Granted, it includes one, but its most innovative feature is an orifice modeled on a wind tunnel. You can use the bell to "ping!" people out of your way, or turn the gadget 90 degrees to suck air through the hole, producing a constant whistle or moan that makes everybody aware of your presence.
