Flooding Overtakes the Yemeni Capital

Heavy rains displace scores.

Reuters

When we last wrote about Yemen, we wondered whether it would be the first capital city to run out of water. Now, the city has too much. Thanks to heavy rains, the capital is flooded, and authorities are warning citizens to take precautions to avoid surprising torrents and rock slides. This is not the first time floods have destabilized the country - scores of people were killed in the 2008 floods.
