Inundated by Tumbleweeds, Albuquerque Brings Out the Snow Plow

It doesn’t snow heavily in the Southwest, but that’s no reason for cities not to keep winter equipment, as demonstrated recently by a snow plow clearing Albuquerque of troublesome tumbleweeds.

A fierce wind storm blowing through Tuesday picked up not just visibility-obliterating dust clouds, but copious, crinkly diaspores, dumping them in massive piles on roads and highways. KRQE-News reports:
