In the neighborhood of Curundu, a free gym offers a second chance to Panama City's poorest youth. Rockero Alcazar gym, named after a Panamenian boxer and WBO super flyweight champion, is free and staffed with volunteer boxing trainers. According to Reuters, the gym focuses on "nurturing healthy lifestyles in youth between the ages of 7 to 18, as a means to distract them from joining gangs." See more photos here.
