This Huge Work of Street Art Looks Like a Hole to the Center of Earth

There’s a new portal to hell in Paris.
1010/Galerie Itinerrance

If a screaming-fast meteor were to punch a hole through the planet, you might get a scene resembling this new piece of street art in Paris.

The virtual abyss, whose cliff “walls” are rimmed with hellish red akin to incandescent rock, was made by Germany’s 1010, which expended as much as 90 gallons of paint fabricating the 48,000-square-foot monstrosity. Galerie Itinerrance, which worked with 1010 on the endeavor, says it’s meant to foreshadow construction work set for this section of the highway.
