Brewers Have Made Sriracha Sauce Into a 'Hot Stout'

Just don't try adding it to pho.

There was a time when quaffing a Sriracha-flavored brew meant pouring the hot sauce into a stein or subjecting oneself to an awful-sounding flavor salt called "Tongue Spank."

Those complicated days are over, however, thanks to the ingenuity of Oregon's Rogue Ales & Spirits. The experimental-minded brewery, looked up to by so many mustache-licking craft-beer aficionados, has whipped up a Sriracha-tanged beverage they deem a "hot stout"—not as gag-inducing a concept as a "hot orangie," but close, when you think of warm, watery hot sauce rushing down the gullet.
