Dhaka, Bangladesh, is in the grips of a water crisis.

The supply to residents has been cut dramatically in the last month, thanks to power cuts and the summer heat. And even the water that is available in many places is "stinky," raising concerns about infection. "We have not got a single drop for the last three months, which has made our lives miserable," Syed Mohammad Abul Baten told The Daily Star. Baten and others have had to buy waters from tankers, paying double the normal price.
