Tracking London's Profane Irritation Over the Tube Strike

For the second time this summer, union workers for the London Underground are staging a strike, this time over pay and a proposal to offer 24-hour service on the weekends.

The walk-off is relatively short, with service resuming Friday morning. Nevertheless, many people are filling the brief time by penning furious, crass, and just plain sad odes against the strikers. “They literally get 50k a year for sitting on their arse all day,” tweets one woman. Says another: “What these greedy little morons don't realise is that they're just strengthening the need for automated trains.”
